The Bath Authority completely removes the existing wet space down to the studs and subfloor. We replace all of the rough plumbing (drain assembly and waterlines/valve body) before installing our shower systems. Other companies install liners overtop of the existing shower or bath, which can trap moisture in between. This can be a breeding ground for mold and mildew.

The Bath Authority uses an acrylic wall system made up of acrylic panels. These panels are installed in a bathroom in order to provide a waterproof barrier between the shower or tub and the rest of the bathroom. Acrylic wall systems are easy to clean and maintain, and they provide a sleek and modern look to any bathroom.

The Bath Authority uses a hi-tech polymer that is a blend of acrylic and ABS. Our shower systems are completely nonporous and extremely durable and impact resistant. Stone and tile with grout require maintenance and are porous, which leads to water getting through your shower and into the wall.  Stone and tile are okay for areas that don’t get wet, like some flooring and backsplashes.  But in the wet area, it isn’t recommended. 

Bathtubs are usually installed during a bathroom remodel. The first step is to remove the old tub, if there is one. Next, the new tub is put in place and properly secured. The plumbing is then connected to the new tub and the surrounding area is caulked to prevent leaks.
