Product and Installation
The Bath Authority completely removes the existing wet space down to the studs and subfloor. We replace all of the rough plumbing (drain assembly and waterlines/valve body) before installing our shower systems. Other companies install liners overtop of the existing shower or bath, which can trap moisture in between. This can be a breeding ground for mold and mildew.
At The Bath Authority, we use a premium solid surface wall system made from durable, non-porous material that offers the best of both form and function. These custom-fit panels are compression-molded to create a seamless, waterproof barrier for your shower or tub area — eliminating grout lines and the risk of leaks. Solid surface walls are not only easy to clean and maintain, but they also provide a high-end, modern appearance that adds long-term value to your home.
The Bath Authority’s solid surface material is engineered for performance — it’s non-porous, waterproof, and incredibly durable. Our shower systems are compression-molded under 5,000 PSI, creating a dense, impact-resistant surface that resists cracks, stains, and wear over time.
Unlike stone or ceramic tile, solid surface panels require no grout, which means no sealing, no scrubbing, and no risk of water seeping behind the walls. While stone and tile can look nice, they’re better suited for dry areas like flooring or backsplashes. In constantly wet environments like showers, solid surface is the smart, low-maintenance choice that offers peace of mind and lasting beauty.
Bathtubs are usually installed during a bathroom remodel. The first step is to remove the old tub, if there is one. Next, the new tub is put in place and properly secured. The plumbing is then connected to the new tub and the surrounding area is caulked to prevent leaks.
Customers often choose to have The Bath Authority remodel their bathtub or shower to make it more accessible. We offer low-barrier walk-in showers and also walk-in tubs with therapeutic features. We have a wide variety of safety grab bars and seats to ensure a safe bathing area as well.

Unlike tile, there are no grout lines to scrub or seal, meaning far less maintenance over time. Solid surface is also more durable, avoiding the cracks and chips that tile is prone to.
